Labyrinth Choir                                                  APRIL

Unfortunately we had to cancel our spring season and summer tour to Spain. But here's the good news: we just created a virtual recording of the beautiful song "Roots" by Ola Gjeilo. Labyrinth Choir commissioned this piece with a consortium of choirs through Chorus America and received the music in March 2020 just before the lockdown happened. The photos that have been added to the song are of the wonderful Labyrinth choir singers.

Here's the YouTube link to "Roots" by Ola Gjeilo--virtual recording by Labyrinth Choir. Sound engineer: Brad Michel; Artistic Director: Anita Kupriss.

SUN DEC 8, 2019 at 3 pm at Jordan Hall, New England Conservatory

Labyrinth Choir has been invited to join Rob Kapilow in a concert  called What Makes It Great. He will be exploring Jewish secular Christmas songs and you'll get to hear Labyrinth Choir sing all those wonderful tunes like Rudolph, Let It Snow, and White Christmas. The concert is almost sold out, so get tickets soon!

We are in the process of finishing our CD, Celestial Whispers, featuring mostly the music of renowned Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. We are premiering the chamber version of his six movement work "Whispers On The Prairie Wind" and the evocative and unique song we commissioned called "Nightfall" for soloists, chorus and cello solo. The CD also features "Sure On This Shining Night" by Morten Lauridsen, "There Will Be Rest" by Frank Ticheli and "Stars" by Ešenvalds. It's truly an inspiring CD due to the poignant story behind the multi-movement work with orchestra. We are pleased and honored to use the photograph of Martin Jernberg for our CD cover art. Beauty and emotion abound!
